The studio potters at Rising Sun Pottery invite you to stop by the Gallery and see the variety of beautiful and original pieces created in our studio.

The Gallery is a place where you can browse the collection of

stoneware creations and talk directly with the potters whose work is on

display. Here you can see and purchase stoneware and folk art whose

style harkens back to the early days of pottery making in the Catawba

Valley region of North Carolina. You will find wheel-turned pots, hand-

built pieces and folk art creations including roosters, face jugs and face

mugs.

All work and glazes are:

• food safe

• microwave safe

• dishwasher safe

• lead free

Only our raku fired work is unsafe for food or water usage. The work of the Rising Sun

Pottery studio is as functional as it is beautiful. Our utilitarian pieces are designed to

be used in the kitchen and home, and with loving care will last for generations to come.

The Gallery adjoins the working studio so you're

likely to find someone busy turning pots which will

provide an added appreciation for how the piece

was made and allow you to talk to the artist who

made it. This adds an extra dimension of

uniqueness to the pieces that you'll enjoy and

cherish forever.
